Jennifer Grantham, Saxophone Ensemble

Since earning degrees from Central Michigan University (BM) and University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (MM), Jennifer Grantham has been anactive teacher and musician in the Cincinnati area. She is currently the Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at Northern Kentucky University. Jennifer is in her fifteenth year as Saxophone Instructor at the CCM Preparatory Department, where she also founded the CCM Jazz Academy and Saxophone Symposium, is the coordinator of Jazz Studies and directs the Cincinnati Youth Jazz Orchestra. Outside of these positions, Jennifer instructs saxophone and clarinet at Walnut Hills High School, Oak Hills High School, Rapid Run Middle School, and St. Ignatius School. Previously, Ms. Grantham served as the Jazz Area Coordinator and Jazz Ensemble Director at Xavier University, and Adjunct Saxophone Professor and Jazz Ensemble Director at the Mount St. Joseph University.

As a classical musician, she has performed at national, regional, and international conferences of the International Saxophone Symposium, North American Saxophone Alliance, and World Saxophone Congress, and was a featured soloist at the Midwest Clinic in 2014. Locally, she has performed with the Seven Hills Sinfonietta, Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and Cincinnati’s Classical Revolution. As a jazz and commercial musician, she has performed with international performers such as Idina Menzel and The Temptations, has been a featured artist with several high school ensembles, and performs in a variety of groups and styles, including many pit orchestras, Souse, Orquesta Kandela, and her own jazz groups.
