Todd Moody is a native of Harrison County, Kentucky. Mr. Moody holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Music Degree from the University of Arkansas. Prior to his commitment to Scott High School, Mr. Moody served as the Band Director at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. Mr. Moody also taught at Williamstown Independent Schools.

Mr. Moody has been named the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year, Phi Beta Mu’s Outstanding Young Band Director for the state of Kentucky, Kenton County Schools Teacher of the Month, and has been nominated to Who’s Who Among America’s High School Teachers. Under his direction the GRC Band won the Class AAA State Marching Band Championship in 2002. The GRC Band also made State Finals appearances in Class AAA, AAAA, and AAAAA during the five years Mr. Moody served as Director. The GRC Symphonic Band received “Exemplary Performance Status” and was selected to participate in the University of Kentucky’s Concert Band Invitational. Mr. Moody is beginning his fifth year as band director at Scott High School. During his time at Scott, the band has received Distinguished ratings at KMEA District Concert Festival. They have participated in Dixie Classic Festivals in Atlanta, D.C, Chattanooga, and Chicago. Moody was named District 6 High School Teacher of the Year for 2009.

Mr. Moody is a member of KMEA, MENC, and Phi Beta Mu. He is also a member of the 4+ Brass Quintet and a co-conductor of the Fillmore Wind Band. Mr. Moody teaches AP Music Theory, Intro to Music, Guitar, Arts and Humanities, Symphonic, Concert, Jazz and Marching Band at Scott High School.
