Sarah Crisp, Music Theory

sarah

Sarah Crisp is currently a private piano instructor out of her home where she has an exciting studio of young music makers. Her students are enrolled in the respected Music Development Program which places emphasis on the total musician, not just music interpreters. Her students take advanced exams in performance, ear training, sight reading, music theory, and music history. They also study improvisation, arranging, and composing with Sarah.

Sarah has always enjoyed the fundamentals of music and the concept that we know as music theory. Sarah believes that theory is beautifully complex and that it is absolutely vital to present the practicality of knowing these fundamentals in young students. She is very excited for the opportunity to work with Tri-State Ensembles.
Sarah holds a Bachelors Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. Sarah studied under Dr. Catherine Godes and the late Herman Godes. She is trained in the Suzuki method and attends the prestigious National Conference for Keyboard Pedagogy started by Frances Clark.
