Lance Martin is a freelance guitarist based out of Cincinnati, OH. Lance received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University. After completing his Psychology studies, Lance auditioned, and returned to Northern Kentucky University for Post-Baccalaureate Jazz studies with emphasis on guitar.

Lance has been playing professionally for the past 2 1/2 years. His ability to improvise on various stringed instruments, and adapt to different playing styles, have given him opportunities to work with artists of many genres. Most notably Lance has performed locally and regionally with Seabird, Issac Karns (Pomegranates), and Ric Hordinski (Monastery Studio). Lance is also a guitarist in the Awaited Christmas Show (Cincinnati, OH) that has an annual audience of over 50,000. In addition to playing live, Lance also does session work for music and film.

When Lance is not performing live or in the studio, he is instructing his 20 private guitar and piano students. Lance’s training in Psychology and Music Theory enables him to teach various musical styles to students with different learning styles.

Lance is excited to be working with Tri-State Ensembles, and is looking forward to bringing his passion and energy to the Pop/Rock Ensemble.
